I made a quilt!

Two years ago, I set a goal to make six quilts throughout the year (2015). I bought a bunch of fabric and batting and came up with a list of quilts I wanted to make. Things were going to happen!

I finished two.
(Christmas one HERE and a summer one HERE)

But I started two others. And I have yet another I started, like, 6 years ago. So really, it’s like I almost met my goal. Sort of. Whatever.  One of the started quilts was for my mother-in-law. She loves horses and when I saw the Cotton + Steel Mustang prints, I knew I wanted to make one of the quilts for her with that fabric line.

It just took me 1.5 years to finally get around to finishing it up.

I used the Ring Toss Quilt pattern, a free pattern, from HERE. It ended up being a bit smaller than I had imagined. I mean, sure the dimensions of the finished project are listed in the tutorial, but numbers don’t always translate in my head.

Still, I think it turned out pretty and cozy, and it for sure was made with love for one of the women I most admire and love.

And now I only have three more quilts to go until I’ve accomplished my 2015 goal! Maybe 2017 will be the year that happens? Maybe.
