Free Video: How to Sew with Cork FabricMay 15, 2017 / bySara Lawson / Categories : Feeds
Cork fabric is absolutely amazing to sew with – the natural cork, sustainably harvested from trees in Portugal, is bonded to cotton/poly blend fabric. It’s great for wallets, bags, and other small accessories. I stock about 80 variesties of cork fabric in my shop!
In this video, I show you different examples of cork fabric. I also discuss what tools are needed to sew with cork, and a few techniques for making straps and accents.
What do you think? Have you tried sewing with cork fabric before?
I also wanted to let you know about a bag making contest that my friend, Annie, from Soft and Stable is hosting! I hope you’ll enter!
The On the Road Challenge is sponsored by Road to California and Soft and Stable®. The challenge will open June 15, 2017. That is when the official rules, regulations, and conditions along with the entry form will be available online at Road to California and ByAnnie.com’s websites.
While there is no limit to the number of entries a person may submit, there is a fee per entry: $10 for an online entry and $15 if the entry is mailed in. All entry packets must be received by October 1, 2017. Winning entries and additional entries selected for display will be notified by December 1, 2017.
