Nova Tour 4: Ashley & Emily, Emi, and Polly

June 26, 2017   /  / Categories :  Feeds

Happy Monday everyone! Today is the start of week 4 of the Nova Blog Tour, and this week we have three creative wonder women showing off their Nova’s.

Polly of My Petite Sophie doesn’t have a blog, but her Instagram page has been one of my favorites for a long time. Her photography is breathtaking, and so are the things she makes. While Polly lives in the US, her style is very French (to me, anyways). I love her beautiful fabric choices, and her incredible eye for detail. To top it off, Polly is also a fantastic stylist. Her Nova blouse and the pictures she took of it, are just the perfect illustration of all of this. Needless to say, I’m very proud to have her in this blog tour. Make sure to visit her on Instagram to see more stunning pictures!

Emi of Just Add Fabric is also been a friend for many years now. She’s one of the kindest, sweetest people I know, and she creates the most stunning garments for her daughter and herself. We share a love for nani IRO and Liberty of London fabrics, so needless to say, I was very keen to see what Emi would do with the Nova pattern, and I was delighted when they said yes to my invite. And yay!, she picked a stunning nani IRO fabric 🙂 Make sure to visit Emi’s blog to see more pictures and read all about her dress!

Ashley and Emily are the sister duo behind Frances Suzanne, a blog which shows off the many beautiful garments they create for their super cute nieces. The sisters and I go way back: their “Flip this Pattern” series basically put my Tinny pattern (and blog/business more generally) on the map many years ago. Somehow, I lost track of them a bit, so when their name popped up in my Call-for-bloggers sheet, this Nova tour seemed like the perfect occasion to reconnect with the talented sisters. I’m so proud to be able to show off their jaw-dropping Nova dress here. Doesn’t the smocking on their 4th-of-July dress look spectacular? Read all about how they did it, here.

Many thanks to Emi, Polly, Ashley and Emily for their beautiful Nova’s, and to Elizabeth Little for sponsoring this week’s give-away (check Instagram on Tuesday).

You can buy the Nova pattern in my shop, in English and Dutch, and in an electronic and a paper version.

HI DARLINGS! This #DIY is a winner. I made this top like a month ago and I had yet to find time to make the skirt and since I wanted to post them together I waited.  The patterns I used are NEW LOOK 6507 and SIMPLICITY 8388  and a gingham check I found in my stash […]

Push your Needlepoint

Today we’ll finish up talking about balance and exciting needlepoint by looking at a piece I’m finishing up and talking about it. The design is from Two Sisters Needlepoint and has three small Lily-style shifts. I loved it immediately because it puts those iconic shifts in a clever small package. My philosophy for stitching canvases […]
