winged visitors

July 4, 2017   /   byCozy Memories  / Categories :  Feeds

Happy July everyone, and happy 4th of July to my American visitors ! Summer holidays have begun, my eldest turned 15 on June 24th, and took his very first exams on the 29th & 30th. I hope your summer (or winter) holidays are underway as well !

My buddleias have been hosting a bunch of winged visitors, and I wanted to share some photos of them here. I hope you'll like them.

I love how their wings seem to have been painted or drawn with pastels ... The one above is an Iphiclides podalirius (aka a scarce swallowtail or Flambé en français), with a worn out tail.

And this one is a Leminitis reducta (aka Southern white admiral or Sylvain azuré en français) Aren't they both gorgeous ?!

I hope this little post finds you happy & healthy. I'm considering posting old posts (from the same time but years ago) from past blogs of mine. Would you like it ?

Be well.
