Friendsgiving Feast

This year we decided to host a little friendsgiving feast at our home. It’s finally starting to feel like fall, and there’s little I love more than a dinner tablescape set up outdoors. Since it was our close friends, we had everyone contribute to the meal and bring their favorite thanksgiving dish. My goal was to make the dinner feel special, but to also keep it low key and relaxed. I opted for a simple bouquet as the centerpiece, gold candle sticks, and eucalyptus as a table runner. We hung string lights over the table and had a fire going. We started dinner right at dusk and chatted into the evening. It was a lovely night.

We actually just used our dining room table, covered it with a table cloth, and used some wooden chairs we had in storage to make it more rustic/outdoorsy.

Fresh ecualyptus this time of year is my favorite to decorate a table, or put in a vase to bring greenery to a room.

We used gold chargers, gold napkins, and gold silverware to bring pops of gold and a festive holiday vibe.

What was on the menu: Turkey, pineapple casserole ( a personal favorite!), sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, salad, rolls, butternut squash casserole, stuffing, brussels sprouts, mulled wine cider, chocolate pie, browned butter cookies, and chocolate delight. It was quite the feast!

There is so much to be thankful for, and it was great to celebrate Thanksgiving a little early alongside a few close friends. It’s a new fun tradition we hope to do again and again. And, of course, to get our yard ready we use the help of Terminix for a pest free, party friendly, yard.
