Madalynne Studios Yelp Page: Write a Review!

Just a few weeks away from my 20th workshop, I decided to create a Yelp page for Madalynne. Bout damn time right? The success of my workshops has solely been through word of mouth, hardly any advertising. Students telling their friends, family and fellow sewists that yes!, you can make a bra! Instagram has also…

What a day. What an event. What a great class. Last Saturday, July 29, I hosted another Bra Making with Madalynne workshop. This class and August’s will be bittersweet because in September, I’ll be moving to a new studio. I’m sad to go – I’ve made so many great memories here and met so many…

What I Made: Alba

Want to hear a joke? Strapless bra. Until recently, I had a love hate relationship with strapless bras. Even when I was smaller than a 32A (I recently grew to a 32B/C), I felt like I had to wear one with anything strapless, the exception being a top that had some sort of bra built…

Must See: The Fabric Store Los Angeles

Lighten Your Lingerie: Part II

When we get dressed in the morning, the first thing we put on are our undies. Well, at least I hope you do! Sometimes, without giving much thought, they work with our outfits. Sometimes they don’t. Regardless, we rarely show off our lacy friends, instead we hide them with what we choose to put on…

My take on the Heather bra (modified Pin-up Girls classic, using BWear.se supplies)

EN: Summary: In partnership with BWear.se, my next bra was made using Bra Maker’s Pin-up Classic full band bra pattern as a base; the Heather bra is inspired by a RTW bra worn by Heather, Beverly Jonhson’s live model in her first Craftsy class, “Sewing Bras, Construction & Fit” (if you haven’t enrolled yet, there’s a big sale going on this weekend and all classes are priced under $20!). Keep reading the complete article.
What I Made: Tabitha

What have I been crushing on? Color, color, color. Just scope out my lingerie kits – I think that’s evident. Last year, I was all about minimalism, and for the most part, my wardrobe consisted of black, white and jeans. It was kind of a Calvin Klein, 90s vibe. I hung onto that for the
