kiss-me-quick

That’s a pretty funny title for a post dedicated to a pretty lovely flower I have decided to include in our brand new flower bed !

“Kiss-me-quick” actually are Centranthus ruber (Valériane rouge en français), a plant that is native of the Mediterranean region, and which can grow from walls, therefore pretty much everywhere. I love their height, their structure & their color. I hope they’ll prosper in our garden !

I wish you all a delightful weekend ahead ! We’ll be voting for our new president here in France.

around the garden – mid September

I never thought I’d be able to say that so soon : “around the garden” … my garden !!! How excited I am, you just can’t imagine !

It’s not yet like I think I imagined it (or dreamed it, you get the idea), of course, since we’ve moved here only 2 weeks ago. There’ll be lots of work in order to know what we want it to be, what we can actually grow (we’re in quite a hot Mediterranean climate, though not in Africa !), and of course what we can actually afford ! (because there’ll be some work to be done indoors as well , and money can’t go everywhere at the same time !)

But in the meantime, I’m walking around my garden, discovering it, making new/tiny lil friends. Here are some snapshots that I wanted to share with you today. Until today it’s been almost as hot as in the heart of summer (above 30°C every day, around 20°C at night), but I’ve heard rain is on the way, and autumn should be coming soon … I hope so !!
